We were able to get one small voice recording accomplished last night at rehearsal. Malcolm's mom dies in Act II, and the director wanted her to cry, "Malcolm" and then hit the floor. Rather than making her do that every night offstage, we decided to record it. Here's my assistant sound designer with my personal recording setup (laptop, Pro Tools 7 LE, Mbox, headphones) and a mic borrowed from our stock (AKG C414).
